Scholtenserf is a proposed urban development on the outskirts of Zwolle. In it, mixed-use working and living spaces are organized in a landscape setting, reminiscent of the original Dutch water landscape. Behind an artificial dyke, the houses and workspaces are set around a courtyard. The variety of objects create options for different SME owners to combine work and life and avoid time commuting. We have followed a green, circular approach, aiming to maximize circularity and reduce CO² and fossil fuels. We have created an opportunity for biodiversity (landscape within the cityscape), and green roofs and natural water ponds support water retainment.
