STUDIO SITEC is a Hong Kong-based international firm that is client-centred, design-forward and experienced. In our almost 30 years of business, we have worked on over 350 technically and creatively-diverse projects for clients in The Netherlands, where we originated, our base in Hong Kong and beyond.
We work across the fields of architecture, urban design and interiors with a body of work that includes: residences, from luxurious custom-homes and apartments to housing for special needs groups; mixed-use buildings, offices, hospitality, shops, religious buildings and museums.
Over the last decade, we have seen a notable uptick of interest in our residential offerings. We have expertise in all manner of luxury residences be it primary residences to second homes, summer houses or pieds à terre. We fashion our designs from completely or partially new architecture to refurbishments of monuments and other existing structures. Designing one’s own residence is usually a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our clients and requires close collaboration with us. It is an exciting and wholly immersive process that brings a dream home to life.
Running parallel to the high value we place on aesthetics is our belief in circularity. STUDIO SITEC is a sustainable business. This means that we are socially responsible and environmentally conscious. We have expertise in the redevelopment and revitalisation of monument-grade buildings and adopt a green and circular approach in our designs, aiming to maximize circularity and to reduce CO² and the use of fossil fuels. Sustainability, biodiversity and the use of non-fossil energy sources are priorities in our work.
STUDIO SITEC believes in paying it forward, so every year we aim for 10 percent of our services to be provided on a pro bono basis. Past recipients of this aspect of our work have included the Wencheng Gongzhu International Foundation and the Christian Action Centre for Refugees both in Hong Kong, for which we provided architectural and project-management; and interior design and building-management services, respectively.
Currently, we are working on a pro-bono basis on behalf of a Buddhist monastery in Nepal in association with BIAD, The Good Studio and JRP. We invite non-profit organisations to contact us.
